The original concept for the Jazz in Hull website came about when local musician and Hulljazz founder Ken Ford (1938 - 2016) allowed his personal scrap books and photo collection to provide the basis for an exhibition held at the city's Museum of Club Culture, Humber Street, Hull, in November 2014, which was curated by Dave Ellis. Additional material has subsequently been collected from various sources including Other Musics, Hull Time Based Arts and the private collections of numerous musicians and jazz supporters. Any relevant additional material in the form of historic photographs, posters, fliers, articles, audio and video tapes would be welcome for consideration. Please get in touch via the Contacts page.
