Since the gradual lifting of Covid-19 lock-down restrictions, the last twelve months has seen the Hull Jazz Festival return with programmes of concert performances at the Hull Truck Theatre in July & November 2021. The summer of 2021 also saw the welcome return of the Burton Agnes Jazz & Blues Festival.
Hulljazz launched a 2021-22 season in September 2021 at a new home, the William Gemmell Ale House on Anlaby Road, Hull; and Jazz @The Lairgate in Beverley, East Yorkshire started up again in October 2021with the contemporary sounds of the Jazz Makers Collective and their guest performers alternating Friday evenings with the more traditional Climax Jazz & Blues Band. Pave Bar on Princes Avenue, Hull has also recommenced occasional low-key live music sessions on a Sunday afternoon with a few jazz artists in the mix, and there are some exciting jazz promotions scheduled at a new venue, Social (formerly Fruit) on Humber Street, Hull.
